Our Fishermen
World Class Practice
The fishermen who supply Wild Local are among a small number of accredited Master Fishermen on the Queensland coast — holders of the Master Fishermen Accreditation through Ocean Watch. Cameras are fitted to all vessels. Every method, every catch, every decision is held to the highest standard of practice in the industry.
Behind them stands one of the best managed fisheries departments in the world. Queensland Fisheries maintains rigorous oversight of fish stocks, fishing techniques and record keeping — ensuring that the wild seafood coming from these waterways is not only extraordinary in quality, but sustainably managed for generations to come.
We know our fishermen. We trust our fishermen. And we are proud to tell their story every single day.
Our Fishermen
The seafood in our display comes directly from the hands of local, accredited fishermen — proud holders of the Master Fishermen Accreditation through Ocean Watch — men and women who fish with respect for the waterway, the season, and the species they catch.
We are their storytellers. And every piece of seafood in our display carries their story with it.
Come in. Ask us where it came from. We’ll tell you everything.
